Private Hot tub, Free Shuttle, Perfect Getaway

Part of a group of eight which does an annual ski trip "out west" for the last five or so years, we decided on Steamboat for 2025. We had a fantastic experience, and by the end, it was our consensus favorite destination. In large part, this was because of the house we rented. First, Fergus & Catie are both five-star hosts. From questions prior to booking our reservation through the last hours of our trip, they were incredibly responsive, kind, and accommodating. Their enthusiasm for our stay was obvious, and they both went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best trip possible. Our entire group was/is so thankful for their hospitality! As for the property itself, there were zero complaints. Four fantastic bedrooms with four full bathrooms (and a half bath/powder room) was perfect for our trip and group size. The rooms had beautiful views, superrrr comfy beds (only downside was how tough it was getting out of them to go skiing!), spacious bathrooms, plenty of room for our clothes/luggage, and a smart layout. We loved the loft-main floor-basement setup, along with the great views from the deck(s) and hot tub! The double washer-dryer set is an awesome touch for a ski house, the kitchen and dining area provided plenty of space, and the living room was perfect for sitting around the fire playing games after a long day of skiing (or playing darts in the loft or shuffleboard in the basement!). Yet, those things may not even be the best part! We didn't fully realize this when booking, but the location is perfect. The town's free bus/shuttle system picks you up directly outside of the house every morning to take you to the mountain (it can also take you to the nearby shopping center, medical center, connecting stops to more expansive bus lines, etc). They are the first stop in the morning (meaning seating on an eventually crowded bus to the mountain, but still only 12 or so minutes max) and the first stop on the way back (meaning 2-3 minutes max from mountain base to doorstep drop-off)! We also decided to walk to the shopping center on our first day, and realistically, you could also walk to the mountain, if you so desired. It was a fantastic experience staying with Abbey Rock, and it really all started with the hospitality of Fergus & Catie. It was unanimous in our group that this was the best accommodations we've had on our annual trip yet, and I would not hesitate to stay again with Abbey Rock when I inevitably return to Steamboat Springs! Five stars all around; a fantastic experience. Thanks again!
